You will be involved in high profile UK and international projects. Using the latest 3D printing techniques and traditional machining processes, you will deliver innovative, exciting and varied models from in house sketch design development models to high quality presentation models and prototypes.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in model making or a design related field and will have a good eye for design, detail and proportion as well as proactive problem solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

A well-rounded skillset of using workshop machinery and lasercutting is essential, and good working knowledge of 2D/3D CAD is a must. Favorable candidates will also have experience with Rhino and 3D printing, and the ability to work with different materials creatively utilising different techniques and styles.

Glenn Howells Architects is an award winning architects with practices both in Birmingham and London. Modelmaking within the practice is an integral and fundamental part of the process and models are used both in house and externally. GHA have a large well equipped modern modelshop comprising of a woodwork shop (where there are various power tools and machines), a CAD and assembly studio, a 3D printing and spray shop, and a photography studio.
