Leaders in the use of 3D printing within modelmaking, Hobs Studio Modelshop is expanding. As we will be moving into a new, purpose built facility, we need to take on another Senior Model Maker ASAP.
We have developed unique techniques, using 3D printing, that have reduced model production time from months to days. As well as re-inventing the way models are designed, installed and updated. Leading to a huge increase in clients and workload over the last 18 months.
As the Senior Model Maker at Hobs Studio Modelshop you will report directly to the Modelshop Manger. Your main role will be to design, manage and build your own models. As well as manage and tutor our other model makers. This is a client facing role and you will be expected to attend and run client meetings.
Importantly the role will include a large amount of research and development. You will be required to invent and develop new techniques on daily basis. As well as bringing your strong traditional knowledge into the studio.
Unlike other Modelmaking studios our team is small and permanent. The majority of the production is performed by the machines, meaning the people we employ have to be multi talented. You will be expected to work well within a tight knit group and be prepared to take on multiple responsibility's.
This isn't the type of modelmakers where you get to hide behind your bench all day, confidence and drive are just as important as your modelmaking.
