LONDON FESTIVAL OF ARCHITECTURE

DATES:

1st - 30th June

VENUE:

Various, London

FURTHER DETAILS:

Website

DETAILS:

The London Festival of Architecture is Europe's biggest annual architecture event, and we want as many people and organisations as possible to get involved and celebrate the brilliance of London and its architecture.

The 2018 event will explore the theme ‘identity'. Architecture plays a fundamental role in shaping the identity of London, and how people connect and identify with their neighbourhood or the city as a whole. It binds diverse groups of people together – whether a community or an architecture practice – and is something that is constantly shifting, particularly in the context of Brexit and how that might affect the diversity of architectural practice in London or the city as a whole. While identity is usually something that builds in a place over time – sometimes it can be ‘invented': is this just cynical marketing by developers or a pragmatic response to the rapid pace of change in London? It's a terrific theme that can be interpreted so many different ways – and that's exactly what we're looking for!

The London Festival of Architecture is open for everyone to get involved. It doesn't matter whether you have a professional interest in architecture or not: London's architecture is there for everyone and so is the London Festival of Architecture.

You can register an interest to get involved with the festival via their website.
