Specialising in the more artistic and smaller sized end of miniature arts, sculpture, model making and traditional crafts I’ve earned a reputation as “the chap you go to when you don’t know who else to go to”, with many of my customers being other professional model making companies sub-contracting out the more obscure, difficult and demanding aspects of detailing their own work.

My client list is diverse taking in private collectors around the globe and major museums through model manufactures in the hobby markets to architectural firms, big business, TV/film, PR and advertising agencies. The projects I’ve undertaken have been pretty eclectic ranging from the common place like sculpting miniature historical figures for museums like the Tower of London, making collectable models for foreign royalty, designing/casting presentation pieces for companies like Rolls Royce and prop making for Sky TV, to carving celebrity portraits out of mini-cheeses for Babybel, or hand painting tiny sports strips for live insects as part of a promotional campaign for the English cricket board. My work and myself as an artist have featured in national newspapers, seen me interviewed live by the BBC through to making headlines on the international MSN website.

So if you want a set of 2D technical drawings physically reproduced as essentially a 3D set of technical drawings using soulless computer controlled rapid prototyping machinery then that’s not who I am or what I do. The workshop is owned by Geoff Collard who by trade is a qualified cabinet maker with a huge enthusiasm for making realistic models of all kinds. He runs the model making shop along side his furniture making business with in a small group of six industrial units each having there own unique talents, i.e. a coach builder who builds cars from scratch, a specialist paint sprayer who can paint any kind of finish on anything, and even a stone carver who comes in handy sometimes.
