Reporting to the Senior RP Technician - TeamLeader, you will be assisting with all aspects involved in producing rapid prototypes to customer specifications.
Working in the Rapid Prototype team, you will process orders to a high standard. Our customers expect fast turnarounds, so you will work with your colleagues to meet strict deadlines.

Scale Models Weston is a marine and architectural model making company based near Earls Colne, Essex. We specialise in marine model making working with prestigious clients worldwide, our clients range from leading superyacht designers, commercial marine and military ship builders to architects and property developers.
We are seeking a Model Maker to work as part of our small team to deliver high-quality models, working on the projects from briefing right through to completion.
The role will include all aspect of the model making process from 3D drawing using Rhino, output using a range of in-house 3D printers and hand finishing to a high specification using a range of techniques including spray painting, hand making and assembly. A keen eye for detail, good time management skills and the ability to work to plan are a must. Many of our exhibition models contain moving parts and lighting, so some experience of working with electronics would be beneficial.
Every model is allocated a budget so an understanding of creating high-quality models with attention to detail, whilst also working within the specified hours and budget is crucial.
