This role includes but is not limited to:
- The production of scaled models using a variety of drawing types.
- Assisting senior modellers to complete models with accuracy and quality.
- Working with a variety of materials using varying workshop machinery.
- The repair, maintenance & development of workshop/wind tunnel facilities and equipment.
- Assisting Wind Tunnel Operators in the preparation and testing of Projects.
- Working in a professional environment abiding by Health & Safety Policies.
- Liaising with Project Managers and Engineers to comprehensively understand the project requirements.
- Managing projects to best suit deadlines.
- Working to requirements and tolerances when producing scale models.
- Working efficiently towards both internal and external deadlines.
- Working as part of team in order to best achieve goals.
- Attending project meetings to discuss and agree scope of work.
Candidates would ideally have:
- Relevant education and/or experience in Model Making or transferable skills such as joinery/carpentry, Production Design etc.
- Some experience with workshop machinery and power tools. (inc bandsaws, table saws, sanders etc).
- Good eye for detail.
- IT skills ranging from basic to experienced with CAD software.
Candidates should also possess:
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently.
- Strong professional work ethic
- Ability to work independently towards achieving goals.
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and programme.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced model maker with a proven track record of managing projects from start to finish and excelling in all aspects of the model-making process. To be considered you will need:
- 5+ years’ experience in a previous model-making role.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive maker with a meticulous eye for detail to join our in-house Modelshop at the Copenhagen headquarters of the Danish architecture studio 3XN. The position depends on experience level. We are open to recent graduates, or people with a small amount of industry experience, to join as an entry-level Junior Modelmaker, or someone with more experience to join as a Modelmaker.
The model workshop plays a key role in our architectural studio as it is where design first becomes reality. Your main task is to build physical models, ranging from early-stage sketches to high-end presentation models, using a range of skills and techniques such as digital modelling, 3D printing, CNC knife cutting, CNC milling, moulding & casting, etc. You will also help to maintain a functioning and organised workshop.
Responsibilities:
- Build models out of various materials, using a range of techniques
- Communicate effectively within our team, and with the members of the competition and design teams
- Maintain a neat and organised work space
- Assist with machine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting
- Help with the coordination and training of part-time student assistants
- Deliver work in a timely manner and meet deadlines
The ideal candidate:
- Has completed a degree in a relevant field (eg. BA(Hons) 3D Design, Modelmaking + Digital Art, or similar)
- Is organised, detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Can communicate ideas effectively
- Is adaptable, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced working environment

This position is responsible for assisting architects in the production of high-quality sketch models, mock-ups, preparation of exhibitions and presentation material. Additionally, the role involves collaboration in the organization of exhibitions, both locally and internationally, including the handling and transportation of models.
We are looking for an individual with the following skill set:
- Qualified to minimum HND level, preferably degree level, in a relevant subject
- Able to demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge, accuracy and ability of model making skills
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of sketch workshop machinery to include hot wire cutter and laser cutter
- Able to use relevant tools, machinery and power equipment within the H&S guidelines as necessary for the completion of projects

We are seeking an experienced technician to manage and operate our large format SLA 3D printer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SLA 3D printing, be technically adept, and have a keen eye for detail to ensure consistent high-quality outputs.
You will be required to:
- Setup, operate, and maintain the SLA 3D printer.
- Prepare and optimize 3D CAD models for printing.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Monitor print jobs to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Post-processing of printed parts.
- Archive & Maintain records of print jobs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with design and Modelmaking teams to meet project requirements.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience with SLA 3D printing technology.
