The team is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for students and colleagues while contributing to the teaching and supervision of students during laboratory sessions and project activities. Although primarily supporting the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the postholder will have the opportunity to contribute to the teaching and research activities delivered across the whole Faculty.

This is an entry level role and as such, hands-on training is provided to ensure the postholder develops high level technical skills alongside in-depth discipline-specific knowledge.

The post holder will be required to operate as part of a highly skilled team to provide technical support, advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders. Manufacture of laser cut and 3D printed parts, as well as supporting undergraduate teaching activities and project work, make up a key part of this role.

The main duties of this role are to support academic and teaching activities by providing software and hardware support for 3D Printing, CAD-CAM and CNC routing, teaching and research related work, including supporting students, researchers and other technical staff.

DETAILS:

Model makers required for large project finishing end of May with immediate start.

All levels of experience will be considered.

Situated at our workshop in Tonbridge, Kent - a 10 minute walk from Tonbridge station and 45 min rail direct from central London.

Exceptional eye for detail required and good hand finishing skills.

Basic spraying ability and experience in 3D printing is a bonus - Formlabs/ Bambu.
