The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide workshop and prototyping to our London Engineering teams. This is a new role and will involve providing critical support to all functions of our workshop and prototyping department as well as working directly with our engineering teams on critical projects.
This will be a multi-functional role supporting the Workshop Manger in day to day operations in the areas of electrical safety, operating and maintenance of workshop equipment and rapid prototyping machines, product builds and safety testing.
You will be a valued member of the engineering team. Ideally you will develop this role to become a critical member of our global team with the potential to gain expertise in new areas and skillsets.
We operate a state-of-the-art facility which comprises of traditional workshop equipment alongside the latest in Rapid Prototyping and test facilities.

Two Model Makers with a very good eye for detail.
Will initially be employed on a project by project basis. For the right person leading to full time position. Will sometimes be required to work additional hours subject to deadlines.
He or she will work for an established- experienced workshop with final models being cast in plaster, using traditional techniques throughout.
I.E. without the use of computerised aids but using saws, plasticard, chemiwood and hand skills, etc.
Expected to be able to work from plans and photos.
Ability rather than experience required. Evidence and experience of scratch built work is very important, bring along models.
Wages to be agreed, if not locally based, transport is required.
May work from home at times once established. Non-disclosure agreement needs to be signed.
Our work is not common today, we have very individual principles and are a one off.

Reporting to: Head of Design and Engineering
Due to an increase in teaching load within the Design and Engineering department, an opportunity has arisen for a second role within our technician team.
The successful candidate will support lessons across the KS2 to KS5 age range and assist with the day to day running of the department. It is anticipated that they will report to the senior technician in the department who in turn reports to the head of department. Technicians are based in the faculty of Art and Design and Engineering which has a well-equipped preparation room.

These duties and responsibilities are intended as a guide. They are not exhaustive: the technician will be expected to undertake any reasonable task or responsibility as required.
Applicants should be very organised and academically well qualified in their field, able to inspire academically-minded, intelligent pupils with an enthusiasm for technological processes, invention and innovation. They must work well as part of a collaborative team. Additionally, experience in, or a feeling for engineering or computer science would be an advantage, as would an enthusiasm for hands-on design and technological projects.
